Weather, sailing warning issued

The Met Office is warning heavy rain and gales could hit the Island in the run up to Christmas.

Forecasters have issued a yellow warning for Friday, including winds reaching severe gale force nine.

The conditions could result in travel disruption, particularly for those heading to or from the Island by sea for Christmas.

The Steam Packet Company has already warned that there is a high probability of disruption to its services.

The operator says anyone booked to travel on Friday or Saturday should consider transferring onto an earlier sailing.
