Youngsters praised for handing in purse
Police are praising the actions of two youngsters after a purse sustaining a substantial amount of cash was returned to its owner.
The young males found the purse on a bench in Regent Street in Douglas earlier this month, and handed it in at Police Headquarters after being unable to identify the owner.
Officers say the item belonged to a vulnerable elderly lady, who the police were able to trace following an appeal on social media.
The woman's purse was returned to her yesterday - a week after she accidentally left it behind.
