Fire crews tackle washing machine fire
A washing machine fire resulted in a callout for fire crews in the west of the Island.
Teams from Peel and Kirk Michael fire stations attended the incident at The Links in Peel yesterday lunchtime.
After isolating the power and putting the fire out, officers used fans to clear smoke from the property, spending around an hour at the scene.
The fire service says a prompt call to the emergency services prevented major damage.
