Two cut from vehicle following Castletown by-pass crash

Two people had to be cut from their vehicle following a crash in the south of the Island this morning.

Two vehicles collided on the Castletown by-pass at around 8.30am, resulting in the road being blocked.

The emergency services attended the scene, with fire crews having to use hydraulic cutting equipment to free the driver and passenger from one of the vehicles.

The fire service remained at the scene for around 90 minutes before the road was re-opened.
