IoM asked about future of queen scallop fishing
The Isle of Man is taking part in a consultation on queen scallop fishing in waters around the British Isles.
Marine Scotland is leading the research, which will take in fisheries across Northern Ireland, the west of Scotland and the Irish Sea.
More boats are fishing for scallops with larger catches being landed, despite indications stock is falling.
The consultation is asking for the public's views on a closed season for queen scallop fishing, limits on the number of vessels able to fish and an increased minimum size.
The Island recently announced plans to cut the number of licences for scallop fishing in Manx waters.
