Airline with Manx routes votes for strikes

One of the airlines that serves the Island could be heading for strikes after voting in favour of industrial action.

Employees of easyJet - which operates three routes in and out of Ronaldsway - are unhappy at having to work while fatigued.

Union BALPA is hoping to avoid a walkout though, with talks between workers and the company due to take place tomorrow.

The airline has come under fire from Manx travellers recently because of punctuality and cancellations.

88% of pilots and 96% of workers in total voted in favour of action.
