Shop manager jailed for stealing from till
An Andreas woman has been sent to prison for stealing over £4,000 from the till of the shop she managed in Ramsey.
Michelle Atherton pocketed a total of £4,251 over an 18-month period while of charge of the SPAR shop on Parliament Street.
Heron and Brearley, who operate the store, became suspicious earlier this year and ordered an audit into the accounts.
Deputy High Bailiff Jayne Hughes handed down a 10-week custodial sentence to the 55-year-old and ordered that Atherton repay the stolen money.
