Plans in place for 'unique' cycle centre
Plans are in place to create a new 'unique cycle centre facility' in Braddan following an increase in the popularity of cycling.
Cycle360 Ltd has applied to build a three storey unit on a vacant site at the Isle of Man Business Park - it would have 1500 square metres of floor space.
Proposals include a bike shop, servicing centre, café, meeting rooms, office space and a cycle fitness centre which would incorporate organised bike rides and a gym specifically for cyclists.
The applicant says it wants to provide 'aspiring and existing cyclists' with something to encourage them to take up cycling or to cycle more often - it also wants to encourage cycle tourism.
A planning application was submitted earlier this month - it's currently pending consideration.
