Police drone use part of 'ambitious' digital strategy

Police on the Isle of Man have 'lagged way behind' in using modern technology - but things are about to change.
 
This week the Isle of Man Constabulary revealed it will be using a drone during the Festival of Motorcycling. 
 
Officers will use it to help gather evidence after crashes, at crime scenes and when searching for missing people - the trial will determine if the technology can reduce demands on policing.
