Douglas and Peel firefighters called to barn fire

Fire crews from Peel and Douglas attended a fire in Peel last night which took three hours to put out.

 

Firefighters were called out following a report of an out of control bonfire - it had set alight to approximately 20 large round hay bales stored in a nearby barn on the Peel Road in St Johns.

 

The barn only received superficial damage due to a prompt call for help from a farm worker.
