Football club shut off to public after damage

Vandals have damaged metal gates at a southern football club after being refused access to the site.

That's the opinion of police who are investigating the damage at Malew Football Club which happened between July 23rd and 26th.

Officers say trustees of the Ballasalla site took a decision to close the private land after issues with dog fouling, littering and broken glass being left on the pitch.

They say they believe the gates were damaged by those who were 'angered' by this decision.
