Tynwald Day to be marked with stories from 100 years ago
Manx National Heritage is using Tynwald Day to tell the stories of people who lived through the month of July 100 years ago.
It's to mark the centenary of the Battle of the Somme in 1916.
Today MNH will take over a classroom at the Brunscoill Ghaelgagh in St Johns with stories and artefacts from the First World War and in particular from the events of July - both on and off Island.
As well as the handling collections there'll be photographs and newspapers and real stories from those of the front line and those on the home front.
