Children to take their learning outside for 'Empty Classroom Day'

Classrooms around the Island will be emptying today so children can enjoy the outdoors. 
 
'Empty Classroom Day' is a global initiative dedicated to encouraging active and experience based learning. 
 
Primary teachers across the schools will be taking their normal lessons outside as well as teaching the children how to grow food and about the environment. 
 
Victoria Road School in Castletown will enjoy a mini beast hunt with kids making the creature's homes, den and shelter building and a campfire.
