Suspended MHK calls for 'independent' review of his conduct

Suspended MHK John Houghton has called for an independent person to look again "properly" at criticism of his conduct. 
 
Yesterday the North Douglas representative was ordered to leave Tynwald after refusing an order to apologise.
 
His defiant stance came after a four hour debate in which a committee report - which claimed there was "significant evidence" to show he was a liar and bully - was passed by the court.
 
He's now prohibited from Tynwald until he complies with the order - however Mr Houghton told the court he believed someone else should be looking at the case against him:
