Island's data protection laws under consideration after EU changes

Businesses and trade bodies on the Isle of Man will be briefed about the impact of new European Union data protection regulations. 
 
That's according to the Chief Minister - in Tynwald yesterday he admitted there are still "many unknowns" concerning the impending changes. 
 
Allan Bell highlighted the three key changes which also included changes in accountability and increases in the fines and sanctions handed out.
 
He said since the new regulations were first proposed in 2012 they have been "actively monitored" by government:
