MHK calls for people to be 'eliminated' from A and E

People who present at Accident and Emergency with minor ailments should be 'eliminated' before seeing a doctor.

That's how North Douglas MHK John Houghton thinks waiting times at Noble's Hospital could be reduced.

In the House of Keys this week it was revealed the average time a patient will wait to be seen and treated is three hours and six minutes.

Health and Social Care Minister Howard Quayle says his department is looking to make changes to help reduce this but says it's an "uphill job" trying to do it within budget.
