'Gung-ho' fears over Chief Minister election reform

Plans to change the way the Chief Minister is elected should be proceeded with caution and not in a "gung-ho" manner.

Last week the House of Keys voted in support of a Bill to ensure the person at the head of government is chosen by publically elected MHKs only.

Current Chief Minister Allan Bell says whilst he supports the move he believes an on-going review into Tynwald as a whole should be completed first.

He says any constitutional reform now could knock 'political stability':
