Steps being taken to improve stroke care

The Isle of Man is falling short in delivering stroke care - compared to many places in the British Isles.

That's according to the Department of Health and Social Care following a visit from the Royal College of Physicians which has reviewed the service.

Numerous questions have been pitched at the department in recent weeks - aimed at revealing the effectiveness of staff and whether facilities are up to scratch.

In the past patients have been admitted to Ward 7 and then transferred to Ward 20 - Minister Howard Quayle says steps are being taken to improve:
