Onchan residents to debate phone mast with MT
Onchan residents are being given the chance to discuss controversial plans for a new mobile phone mast.
Manx Telecom has invited people who live in Birch Hill and Governor's Hill to a drop-in session today - it follows an application to build a mobile base station on land at Cronk ny Mona.
Onchan MHK David Quirk found out about the meeting on Friday - he says that's not enough notice when there are serious issues to consider.
The meeting will take place at Beech House between 2pm and 7pm.
He says he believes the company should have been more open about its plans before lodging the application:
