Burglar broke into neighbour's bedroom to steal console

A Douglas man who broke into his neighbour's bedroom to steal his games console will be sentenced in February.

33-year-old Colm Mclaughlin forced the door to the victim's room at Linacres Guest House on January 1st.

He stole the handheld PlayStation console, six games and a charger before selling them on to the CeX trading store.

Police were alerted when the victim returned home from work to find his possessions gone - Mclaughlin admitted what he'd done to him saying he was having "money problems".

At Douglas Courthouse Mclaughlin admitted one charge of burglary - social enquiry reports have been requested before he's sentenced on February 25th.
