Police conduct 47 'fit-for-road' stop-checks
Police stopped 47 vehicles in Ramsey yesterday in an effort to ensure they were fit for the road.
Officers from the Roads Policing Unit, and examiners from the Vehicle Test Centre, conducted spot checks at Ramsey Hairpin.
Many of those stopped had faults with their lights - one car had defective tyres and the driver was reported for the offence.
