Calls for gas regulator to stop customers being 'ripped off'
The Isle of Man needs a regulator to ensure that Manx Gas isn't monopolising the market.
That's the message from MLC Juan Turner - he's querying why the telecommunications sector is supervised but utilities aren't.
He wants Treasury's involvement in the gas company to be investigated saying residents are being "ripped off" by system abuses that UK citizens are protected against.
In light of this he's written to the Tynwald Policy Review Committee saying the public sector housing conversion from oil to gas central heating is suspicious:
