Plans drawn up to modernise health Act
Plans are underway to modernise the existing National Health Service Act.
Last updated in 2001 the draft Bill would be renamed 'The National Health and Care Service Bill'.
Although it would be significantly different from the outgoing legislation some things including the complaints process and establishment of committees would remain.
Health and Social Care Minister Howard Quayle says the revamped bill will look to tackle the problem of 'bed blockers':
