Met Office statistics show a very mixed Summer

Statistics released by the Met Office show a very mixed picture for Summer 2015.

We experienced slightly above the rainfall average, with 650 hours of sunshine and windier conditions than usual.

There were two notable weather events, with the highest June wind speed record set at the start of the TT, with gusts of 63mph.

Forecaster Kirsty Pendlebury said on the whole it's been a cooler summer than previous years:
