Planning permission sought to change use of library building

Planning permission has been requested to change the use of a library building in Douglas.

The Henry Bloom Noble Library on Victoria Street is expected to become vacant in December.

Plans are underway to relocate it into the former Topshop premises on Duke Street.

An application has now been submitted to vary the use of the building so it can be used for retail, as an office or for the sale of food.

The hours and days of operation would be confirmed when a tenant or purchaser if found.
