Douglas by-elections were an 'education'

The Douglas by-elections were an education.

That's according to Liberal Vannin leader Kate Beecroft - who says the party are proud of the achievements of candidates Keith Fitton and Maire Booth.

Mr Fitton polled with 502 votes - just 96 from the newly elected MHK for Douglas South, Bill Malarkey.

Mrs Booth gained 223 votes - coming third in the Douglas North constituency behind Ralph Peake with 604.
