Government to welcome so-called 'King of Man' as tourist

Government says the so-called 'King of Man', his family and American reality-TV producers are welcome to explore the Island - but warns that the US resident's 'sovereignty' here is a complete farce.

Series producers have been informed that David Howe's claim is not recognised by the Isle of Man Government or the UK Government in advance of filming, which will get underway here soon.

He declared his claim several years ago - but it was refuted, as the Head of State continues to be Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Government has not endorsed the TV project - but welcomes Mr Howe and his family as tourists.
