Minister apologises for lack of communication over silt removal
The Minister for Infrastructure has apologised for the lack of communication surrounding the operation to remove silt from Peel marina.
Phil Gawne says despite the poor communication however the work has been essential and will ensure the continued operation of the popular harbour area.
The department's handling of the situation has particularly come under fire from the German Commissioners who have called a public meeting on the matter for tomorrow evening.
Mr Gawne says ultimately he understands and appreciates their concerns:
