Treasury appoint new financial controller

A new financial controller has been appointed to handle Treasury's Budget.

Current chief internal auditor Caldric Randall will take up the role when Clive McGreal steps down at the end of next month.

Mr Randall has a number of achievements to recommend him - including his major review of cost improvements across government and providing advice to the Public Accounts Committee.

He says he'll be looking to make the department more efficient:
