MLC reflects on tough decision to step down
Three longstanding members of the legislative council have announced they will not re-contest their seats in the upcoming elections.
Alex Downie, Dudley Butt and Alan Crowe all announced their retirement in Tynwald this week.
They'll be held next month with David Cretney so far the only MHK to publicly state his intention to stand.
Former Detective Chief Inspector Dudley Butt has been an MLC since 2005, he said it's been a very tough decision:
