UK police officers sought to make up numbers

Manx police officers who are working in the UK are being headhunted to make up numbers.

That's according to the Home Affairs Minister which says the force is currently working below capacity.

There should be 211 officers employed - however at present there are only 194.

Onchan MHK Peter Karran has called for more funding saying he is worried cuts are leading to an increase in crime.

Juan Watterson says they're looking to see if any officers would look to relocate back to the Island - he says he does understand concerns:
