Island needs another large hotel says tourism head

Investors who are keen to develop the Island's tourism industry will be supported if they wish to take over the Mount Murray Hotel site.

That's the message from the Department of Economic Development, which says over the last few months there has been increased interest in the Island.

Last week, it was announced that the hotel and country club would be closing its doors on Friday after over 20 years in business - the news came 14-months after a devastating fire.
