Time to re-explore government ombudsman role

Cost implications have been blamed for the reason government still doesn't have a complaints ombudsman.

The Tynwald Commissioner for Administration Act was first raised in 2010, where it said an appointment would be based on affordability criteria.

It's estimated than an ombudsman would cost in the region of £120,000.

Policy and Reform Minister Chris Robertshaw says it's now the right time to re-explore making such an appointment:
