Government's involvement in entertainment industry under review

Should government be involved in the commercial entertainment industry on the Isle of Man?

A review is currently taking place to determine if it should be running places like the Villa Marina and Gaiety Theatre.

The comments were sparked by news that taxpayers will take the hit of the recent Jackson's concert which lost money - a figure that government is refusing to reveal.

Economic Development Minister Laurence Skelly says it's a serious concern and it might be time for government to step aside:
