Two arrested over heroin importation

Two people have been arrested on suspicion of importing over £20,000 of heroin to the Isle of Man.

The men, who are from Ramsey, were stopped at the airport on Tuesday evening.

Police say the Class A drug was destined for the streets of the Island and is a "significant seizure".

They say heroin is a particularly nasty drug that significantly impacts on both the user and their family and friends.

Enquiries are on-going.
