Fraud case could be heard on the Island

A multi-million pound fraud case is likely to be heard in the Isle of Man.

The case involves an Indian billionaire, and his daughter, and centres on claims of fraud and other misconduct.

Niranjan Hiranandani was a former director of property investment fund Hirco plc.

Hirco claims he and his daughter Priya fed it misinformation that led it to invest £350 million in township developments in India - the company is now seeking damages in excess of £300 million.

The Isle of Man connection is with Cains Advocates which represents Hirco.

No definitive date for the start of the trial has yet been set.
