Manufacturing centre provides boost for sector

Manufacturers say a new engineering centre of excellence in Douglas is a positive move for the Island.

The Advanced Manufacturing Training Centre, which has undergone a £1 million refit, will be officially opened this month.

The development means double the number of students can now undertake apprenticeships.
