Officers say scams are 'impossible' to police
Police have conceded there is very little they can do to effectively combat telephone scams.
Recently there has been an increase in bank scams - with a significant number of people being contacted by individuals claiming to be from their bank, asking for their account details.
It's resulted in a number of people losing large amounts of money from their savings.
