Volunteers present church with past vicars WW1 biographies

Manx National Heritage volunteers have presented a vicar's First World War servicemen's biographies to his Douglas church.

It took fifteen months of hard work by volunteers to transcribe fourteen files of handwritten notes made by Canon Kermode.

A vicar of St. George's church during the war, he kept and updated notes about individual men from his parish away on active service.

They were presented to the Venerable Andrew Brown, he says the volunteers felt a sense of duty to complete them:
