No plans to build all-Island sixth form centre

There are no plans to develop an all-Island sixth form centre - despite education provision not being equal across the secondary schools.

That's been confirmed by the Education and Children Minister Tim Crookall. 

Instead teachers are now looking at the shared teaching of certain A-Level subjects, where class sizes are small, and using virtual classrooms to support traditional teaching.

The idea to build a new facility has gained support from a number of MHKs including Malew and Santon representative Graham Cregeen - he says the current system isn't fair:
