35 year old man charged following Ballasalla incident
A 35 year old man has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent in relation to an incident in Ballasalla yesterday morning.
David Mitchell appeared in court earlier to answer the charge.
The disturbance took place at around 2.30am in Clagh Vane following a party at a nearby house
It left a man with very serious injuries to his face and head resulting in him having to be taken to England for further treatment.
At the time of the assault, there were a number of people in the street, police say despite the male being charged it is still a very active investigation and any witnesses would be welcomed.
