Man arrested in connection with armed robbery
Police have arrested a man in connection with an armed robbery at a Douglas jewellery shop.
He has been detained at Police Headquarters as enquiries into last Friday's incident continue.
RHS Jewellers on Prospect Hill was raided with the thief taking over £25,000 worth of goods before escaping on a motorcycle.
The bike was taken from the rear of Road and Track on Tynwald Street and later found to the rear of Belmont Terrace - the clothing, helmet and hammer used during in the incident were found burnt.
