Aerospace employment figures on the rise

Employment within the aerospace sector on the Island is up by six per cent compared to a year ago.

21 businesses on the Island employ 881 engineers and support staff – that’s 38 per cent more than when the cluster was launched in 2006.

Manufacturing is one of government’s key priorities in its Vision 2020 strategy with £1 million being spent on a new engineering training centre.
