National Insurance Fund under review
Government is reviewing the Island’s National Insurance Fund.
Specialist consultants have been asked to come up with an alternative to the current UK-like system – which isn’t working.
The £650 million fund pays for state retirement pensions, the Manx pension supplement and social security benefits.
Treasury Minister Eddie Teare says the issue is being dealt with sensibly:
