Island patients will benefit from new skills centre

Patients on the Isle of Man will ultimately benefit from a new training centre for doctors which is costing almost £1 million.

Construction of the Medical Clinical Skills Centre at Noble’s Hospital has begun and will be used to train all doctors working here.

The Francis Report, which came out after the scandal at the Mid-Staffordshire NHS Trust, highlighted the need for medical staff to have access to high quality training.
