Will Government contribute to major UK report, asks MHK

MHK Chris Thomas wants Government to publish its contribution to the UK’s report on Economic, Social and Cultural rights.

The UK’s report will go to the United Nations; in the past it was flagged up that there was little input from any of the crown dependencies.

Rights for disabled people will be covered in the document; it was announced this week that a consultation into a new equality act will be launched on Island this year.

The member for Douglas West wants input from anybody who has a disability or impairment who wants to have their voice heard.
