MHK wants 'toilet tax' petition recognised
An MHK is hoping that the public's reaction to the new so called 'toilet tax' will be acknowledged in Tynwald this month.
Chris Thomas has tabled a motion for the online survey opposing the charge - which has around 6,000 signatures - to be included on the official minutes.
The Water and Sewerage Authority wants to bring in the tax in April - if succesful it will mean householders will have to pay £50 a year for having a toilet.
Members will have to vote on its introduction in order for it to be applied.
However the West Douglas MHK says it all seems very rushed:
