Flood warning drops with weather set to improve

Weather conditions across the Island are due to pick up this week after days of weather warnings.

The Island was placed on amber alert on Friday and on red alert on both Saturday and Monday.

It was due to the high tides combining with gale force winds which created storm surges.

This caused flooding in many places including Douglas, Laxey, Castletown and Ramsey with serious structural damage to the sea front defence walls.

Forecaster at Ronaldsway Met Office Colin Garshore says things are starting to look better:
