Stormy weather could cause more sailings disruption
More stormy weather is forecast for later today, putting Steam Packet sailings in doubt.
This evening’s departure to Heysham at 19.45 is under threat of cancellation and this would also affect the return sailing at 02.15 tomorrow morning.
The company is due to release an update by 2pm.
The shipping forecast says south or south-westerly gales could reach storm force 10 and possibly even reach violent storm force 11 in parts of the Irish Sea overnight
