Police step up drink drive patrols

Partygoers are being urged to plan how they'll be getting home from their nights out this weekend.

An anti-drink driving campaign - in conjunction with the police and Department of Infrastructure - is in full swing.

People are being told not to risk their life, liberty or livelihood by getting behind the wheel after drinking.

Police are stepping up patrols to target drink drivers at night and the morning after.

Taxi numbers and bus timetables will be on display in pubs - road safety manager Gordon Edwards says the message is simple:
